I’m an avid reader of some great running blogs and media outlets. As much as I love actually running, I also love reading and talking about running. I truly enjoy hearing about other runner’s successes, struggles, results, product reviews and anything else they share. In homage to the great running story tellers out there, I’m going to start highlighting the best posts I’ve read on a semi-regular basis. What better time to start than now?
1. Asthma and the Gift of Running: 18K (or 11.2 miles)…Been there, Done that
“It made me think of all of you out there, Miglena included, who are dealing with injuries. I may have had a difficult week, but I can run and I am not in pain…believe me, I am very grateful and will not take this gift for granted!”
2. Jill Will Run: Props to Chick Runners
“So this is my ode to all the female runners out there, I’m raising my glass and toasting all of you. Rock on!”
3. Running Off at the Mouth: Questions I Get Questions…
“Since running…um here’s that B-word again…Boston…you’ve inundated my inbox with questions. I love it!
Without further ado, some answers for those inquiring minds:”
4. Jeff Galloway’s Blog: Happy Boston Marathon Day!
“Here’s are my thoughts on the meaning of this great race with a tour of the course, including comments by my friend Bill Rodgers. My underdog pick today is Mizuno athlete Antonio Vega, US Half Marathon Champion.”
5. Feet Meet Street: Rungasm
“Considering the happy dance I was doing two weeks ago after my 20 miler, the 22 miles this weekend had me little nervous. I’m all about the post long run endorphin rush and smug feeling of satisfaction of a job well done. But when that is served with a side of muscle spasms…well, it somewhat diminishes my general feeling of invincibility.”
