Avoiding Running Injuries

Have you ever seen a headline that you wish had crossed your path several weeks earlier? Well, that happened to me last night. My Active.com e-mail newsletter came into my inbox and the top headline read:

“4 Ways to Avoid Overuse Injuries This Spring”

Man! Talk about bad timing. If only I read that 2 months ago. Maybe I wouldn’t have gotten shin splints, and maybe those shin splints wouldn’t have progressed to a stress fracture. Who am I kidding? I would’ve kept running regardless of what Alan Peppard, M.S., P.T. thought. I’m just that stubborn. For all those that aren’t, you should probably read it.
